Join JLAC

Joining Junior League is simple and exciting! The only requirements are that you are 21 years of age, have lived in Anderson County for at least six months (or in an adjoining county in which no Junior League exists), and have an interest in volunteerism and community service.

During your first year of membership, you will be teamed with other first year members to form a Provisional Class. Provisional members have their own meetings in which you learn about the structure and history of JLAC. During this time you will become better acquainted with our committees and our projects so that in coming years, you may be placed in areas that truly meet your strengths and interests.

But you’re not all on your own! Provisional members also participate in the general membership meetings and in all fundraisers and projects, like Done-In-A-Days. During your provisional year, your provisional class will even develop its own project. It is a great way to leave a lasting impact on Anderson County.

After completion of your provisional year, you move on to become an Active Member for a minimum of seven years. Then, you can choose to become a Sustaining Member. Each membership class has different requirements and responsibilities. In each of the three membership classes there are certain membership dues, meeting attendance requirements, committee placements and fundraising and community service hours.

For more information on joining League, call the office at 231-0470 or email aprilcameron@charter.net
